Stubble used to be considered rough and ungroomed, then it became sexy. I see that. I liked the stuggle look.

But it seems like on 2025 bad beards exploded everywhere.

My nephew appeared at Thanksgiving with a long, scraggly, unkempt beard. Most of the people at the dinner recoiled when they saw him. He was very proud of it.

After he left the main topic of discussion was why he didn't see what his ungroomed beard looked like. He has a hard time meeting women. The consensus was that if he trimmed up his beard maybe he would be more attractive to women?

Are ugly beards the new trend.

Yes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and I like beards if they are well-maintained and trimmed. But they they are misshapen, look they haven't been cleaned in months and have straggly strands, it's a huge turnoff.

One male friend told me told me that the thing about beards is, you can either grow one or you can't.

The majority of men cannot and this is why there are so many bad beards out there. Of course that is combined with poor maintenance or just laziness.

Hopefully this ugly beard trend will soon pass.

What do you think?
